In all due respect to people who want to go to Breslov for Rosh Hashanah, I have no problem.
You want to go to daven,
You want to go to the Rambam's Kever,
You want to go to this Kever,
You want to go to Europe, to the latest famous Kever...
I'm not cynical against those people.
They want to go, and they find themselves uplifted, don't talk right to the Mes, because there are shaylas Doresh el Hameisim, but if you find that meaningful, and you're Posek says that you can leave Israel for that, I have no problem.
But there's only one place in the world that's called Shaar HaShamayim.
And it's nowhere else!
That's Shaar HaShamayim.
And the Gemara talks about the special segulah, everyone wants a segulah, that segulah, this segulah...
I'm not saying anything against any segulahs, I'm not being Maimonidean, who was against all these...
I'm not.
But you want a segulah?
The Gemara tells you, a person lost an object, didn’t know where it was, he went to daven on Har Habayis, it was found.
A person was sick, he went to daven, it was found.
That’s Shaar HaShamayim!
Everyone’s looking around the world for all the different places, and let them daven wherever is inspiring, but we have an objectively spiritually elevated place.
