How could it be an Issur?!
It's a Mitzvah Deoraisa!
As I mentioned, Mikdash Tirau.
How could it be an Issur?!
They say that you don't know where anything is.
Well, that may have been true in the 1920s when Rav Kook zt'l, was the Rav HaRashi of Palestine.
He had to go under the Wakf, so he didn't know where anything was.
But today, with all the information we got from the archaeologists and other evidence, we know with utmost perfection where we can go.
Everyone says, up to the Cheil you can go.
It's a Mishnah.
It's a Gemara.
My Rebbe, Rav Moshe Feinstein tz'l has in his Teshuva...
I would go up two or three times a year with his son-in-law, Rav Tendler zt'l.
He was very much in favor of going up.
And then when he came to Eretz Israel, I told his family to let me know when I would go up with him.
He told me, he sat down with Rav Moshe, and he told him exactly the path that he takes.
He said, "Absolutely. 100%. Up to the Cheil you can go.
Now, we know we're not violating this law, we're not crossing the Cheil, because we go close to the walls, and the Cheil can never reach the wall.
If the Cheil would reach the inside of the eastern wall or the western wall, that's going to mean the rest of Har HaBayit is in the valley! That's an impossibility!
So we sort of hug the walls, and there's absolutely no possibility that we cross the Cheil.
So there's no issue whatsoever.
And we're being Mekayem all these mitzvos, and hopefully we'll be so zoche to have Karben Pesach B'zman Hazeh!
