For 1,800 years, we didn’t return to Israel in a serious way.
And God said, "I’ll wait. You’re waiting? I’ll wait too."
I believe the same applies to the Mikdash.
Hashem is saying to us: “You have Israel, but you don’t want the Mikdash? Fine. I’ll wait.”
The building of the Beit HaMikdash, will come from Kivush Ha’Eretz (the conquest and settling of the Land).
If our holy ancestors hadn’t drained the swamps of Petah Tikva over a hundred years ago, risking their lives and dying of malaria, we wouldn’t have Petach Tikvah today.
And yet, some people say there’s no element of Kivush when it comes to the Mikdash?!
Kal Va’chomer (all the more so)!
If settling the rest of the Land required effort and sacrifice, how much more does the ultimate place, the place of the Shechinah, require from us?!
To leave our enemies on Har HaBayit, bowing with their backs to the Holy of Holies, is a chillul Hashem.
And when we stay away...
When we ignore what’s happening there...
We’re silently sanctioning that chillul Hashem.
We're saying, "It's okay".
But when we go up, when we step forward and take responsibility, that’s Kivush.
That’s how we get to the next step.
The last 200 years show us this clearly.
Every practical step we’ve taken has led to miracles we never imagined.
It didn’t just “happen.”
It came from action.
Yes, you can quote the idea from Rashi that the Mikdash will fall from heaven.
But aside from that one midrash, which can be interpreted in many ways, what we actually see is that our human efforts push things forward!
And when God sees us partnering with Him, He blesses our actions.
That’s always been the story of our people.
If we told you 300 years ago, that God's gonna fly us on the Eagle's wings and He's gonna drop the Mikdash...
But nothing happened that way.
It happened because we moved forward practically!
And then Hashem blessed our efforts!
