When reaching Har HaBayis suddenly became possible, there was so much confusion, which prompted the Rabbanim to urge caution. Now, more than 50 years later, all agree on the location of the Azara. As long as one follows the Halacha, we can safely visit and experience the Kedusha for ourselves.
